FREDA PAYNE

 

As I child I was fascinated with Freda Payne. The song “BAND OF GOLD” made me cry every time I heard it and I had no clue with the song was about. I first met Freda in 2023 under unfortunate circumstances we both got stiffed on a show. Meaning we never got paid. I had a road manager there and she didn’t so my guy Robbie stepped in help her. They kept in contact with one another and he invited her to a show I was doing in the LA area and she came out with her sister. I always have a camera with me so I explained I was a photographer as well and she allowed me to take a few shots of her against a vacant wall backstage I asked my graphic designer (Paris) to super impose some flowers around her head and this was the end result.
